The Superb Captain in the City tells the story of the soldier Lee Yifei, called Berkut. Possesses numerous combat skills in extreme situations, a member of a special squad, a member of many international operations. Many syndicates hunted him, promising a huge sum of money for his head.  But during the last operation the unexpected happened. And to avoid arguments he decides to change his life and start it from scratch. He resigns and arrives in a strange city where no one knows him.  He is now an ordinary security guard in a trading firm. So, He doesn’t even get involving in the robbery of the girl at the train station, for fear of being recognizing. He will date ordinary girls and live the life of an ordinary man.

At the firm, he meets his colleagues. And learns that the director of the firm is a young beautiful girl Xu Yingying, very successful in her work. He introducing himself to her as a new employee. And was mildly surprising when she ordering him to be in her office in 10 minutes. When he arrived he found out that he was fired. This stunned him as he had just started working and had not made any mistakes.  In response to his question about the reason for his dismissal, the director suddenly asked why he had not stopped the robber, even though he had witnessed the robbery.

She said that such heartless people were not needing in her company. She doubted his professionalism very much, called him a coward and asked him to leave. What was her amazement when he showing her the bag the robber had stolen from the girl. And explained that he just didn’t want to do it in public and wasn’t interested in being a hero. The director discovers that he was in the army and unexpectedly gives him an assignment to be her boyfriend and accompany her on Chinese New Year to her parents’ house.

She instructs him on how to behave and what to say so that her father, a former army general, does not understand the fake. This is not the first time the girl has pulled such a stunt with fake boyfriends, but her father knew from the doorstep that it was a hoax. But Ifei could not have imagined how a seemingly amusing adventure would turn out to be no easy challenge.  During a random fight, he was photographed, recognizing as a golden eagle, and the hunt began for him.
