Briefly about The Rising of the Shield Hero Manga:
Do you know who they call “Heroes of the Shield”? They’re brave-hearted heroes rushing to the next world to help! So, one of them was Iwatani Naofumi. He was just an otaku until he is calling to help. Doubting, but wanting to be a hero, he rushes to help by joining the Brotherhood of Four. But events take on an unexpected turn: on the third day he is robbed by some scoundrels.
But trouble does not come alone: he becomes the main suspect in the brutal rape. So, having lost his credibility in society, he dare to find the scoundrels and punish them for their resentment. His companion becomes a charming raccoon girl, bought out of captivity by him from a cruel slave trader.
This is the most worthy (and draining) work I’ve read in a long time. No other work has made my heart ache as much as this one. Literally. After all, the author screwed up everything in it. I knew, of course, that I shouldn’t expect a pattern breaker. The character wouldn’t go to the dark side. My wet fantasies about something original wouldn’t come true. But what it turned out to be simply cannot be conveyed in words.
Slaves are already in every other piece. And fables of exploits in the style of “oh damned aliens,” I didn’t ask to be drafted. But I am also a living person and it would not be human to abandon you. For it is inhuman, and now come here that horny red creature, attacking the poor lolly. Now I’m going to save everybody, because why not.
