Short description of the manga – The Rising of the Shield Hero:
Do you know who they call”Heroes of the Shield”? They’re brave-hearted heroes hurrying to another world to help! One of them was Iwatani Naofumi, that had been just an otaku before he had been called to help. Doubting, but wanting to become a hero, he rushes to help by joining the Brotherhood of Four. But events take on an unexpected turn: on the next day he’s robbed by some scoundrels. But trouble doesn’t come : he becomes the primary suspect in the brutal rape. Having lost his credibility in society, he attempts to find the scoundrels and punish them for their resentment. His companion becomes a charming raccoon woman, bought from captivity by him from a cruel slave trader.

I started watching it because of the people who campaigned for a boycott so no one could watch it. They found the villain of the first season controversial, but a lot of women did much more horrible things in real life. The protagonist is actually too good, no wonder they created Redo Healer with a protagonist much more thirsty for revenge.
