Briefly about The Boxer Manga:

Briefly about The Boxer Manga about: A super talented guy got into sports. What’s in store for him, will his talent be good for him or will it only hurt him? The battle begins! A slight pleasant aftertaste at the end. The beginning is very promising. There’s a three-person narrative. And very cool that even the bully and his narcissism are shown. The hero can do everything. For what not to take – the number one. Nice drawing conveys the atmosphere of the characters and their emotions.  It reminds me of “Veritas”, where everyone is so ideological. And only Hero was honest about why he swings. Fighting is fun, fighting is in our nature.

Read The Boxer Manga.

Having an advantage in physical potential. All other things being equal, in clearly REGULATED sports, talent beats perseverance – TOTALLY so. But this is true only for sports with clearly established rules. And it can’t be applied to martial arts, team sports, and competitive sports. Simply put – in sprinting, a persistent talent won’t leave a chance for a persistent one, in martial arts. Even if they are trained the same style by the same master. Physical potential is only one of the variables.

Your comparison is out of place. “If it is still not clear, here is how I see this “argument” from my side in the form of an analogy. All other things being equal, the Zaporozhets will never overtake the Mercedes. What if the Zaporozhets will be driven by Schumacher, and the Mercedes by a baby? So, what if you fill the tank of the first one with excellent gasoline, and dilute the second one with water? What if Z. drives backwards, and M. drives backwards?” Why? Because that’s not what I was talking about.

My statement “whether persistence beats talent, if talent is no less persistent. This is only true of those disciplines. Where everything is clearly regulating and where there is little freedom of opportunity. In games and team sports, there are so many variables… That physical potential is only one of many.
