Read Tensei Kenja no Isekai Raifu ~Daini no Shokugyo wo Ete, Sekai Saikyou ni Narimashita~ Manga.
The plot is pretty usual for this type of isekai. But thank God it does not bog down like many analogues. The hero finds himself in another world, immediately in a very simple and unknowable way gets the power of a bender of the universe. And then sets out to explore the world. What is good, a global conflict is immediately outlined, what the world is threatened by and who is bringing the catastrophe closer.
The scale of the confrontation is unclear. It is also unclear whether the villains can do anything to oppose the universal baiter. But the fact that the hero sets out on a journey to reduce the number of villains. That’s a lot better than traveling in search of lollies for his harem.
It’s all sprinkled with amusing humor that builds on the hero’s indifference to his awesomeness. As well as the crazy reaction to it all around him. Though the humor is funny, they could have done with a little more thrashing. Make the hero even more of a piffle and add more reactions from those around him. But alas, the hero tries to hold back, so only Proud Wolf freaks out, and he’s really the best character in the manga.
The author has a talent for making fun secondary characters. And a unique gift for making the most depressing main character. All of the secondary characters are incredibly deliverable. The receptionist girl in the mountain town, the blacksmith, the two adventurers with whom the hero went dragon walking. Yes, even the assassins who were sent after him. All so memorable. But damn why the author doesn’t develop them. None of them appear in the manga for longer than three chapters. Four at the most, intermittently. Yes, the hero is constantly on the move, always looking for new adventures on his slimes. But can’t you make at least a couple of characters permanent.
