Short description of the manga – Soul Land III – The Legend of the Dragon King:
Quite a very long time ago, people were at war with all the spirit beasts. The spirit beasts were many and powerful. There have been so many of them that they may cover the earth. The humans were in a dire scenario. But they discovered that should they absorbed the spirit rings of their soul beasts, they could use the spirit capability to become more powerful. Because of this, the humans slowly overcame their gap in strength and finally defeated the soul beasts. After that, they discovered two continents and started to colonize them. In time, they forgot about the war with the soul beasts and even started to hunt them for food. The spirit beasts were almost extinct. Then one day, a king of this soul beasts awakened from its slumber.
