Lucia told her that she was very worrying about her future. She had a terrible dream that a year from now when she turns 19 there will be an auction.  So, She will be selling to a creepy earl. And she will live a long and unhappy life with him.  She wakes up and realizes she has one more year to change her future. Norman tells her that she will have an episode in the novel  with  a contract marriage . A marriage of necessity for business reasons.  And that’s when Lucia came up with a plan.
