Kenja no Mago Manga is about a teenager with magical and fighting abilities, who grew up in the forest, adapting to the world around him. Shin Walford is an 8-year-old boy raised in a foster home. An old man discovers a crying baby whose family has been killed by a monster. He took the baby with him and raised him. He taught him martial arts and most importantly taught him magic and how to control it. The people around him marveled at the boy’s strength and could not believe that he could kill a boar by himself. And Shin felt the strength of a grown man.

The fact is that the heavens gave a second life in Shin’s body to a man who was disappointed in life and died in an accident. And the boy retained the memories of an adult Japanese man. He is reborn in another world where magic exists. He enjoys studying the magical laws, but sometimes the consciousness of an adult interferes with him.

Kenja no Mago Manga brief description: 

At the age of 15, it is decided to send the boy to the city for further training. But there were two problems. First, Shin only lived in the woods with his grandparents and uncle, he knew nothing about the world around him and other people. Second, he had such power and ability to magic that he could destroy the world and so he could be manipulated for the benefit of the country…  So given his inexperience in worldly matters, his grandfather suggested he enter the Academy of Magic in his hometown.  The Academy is remarkable in that it provides equal opportunities for commoners and nobles.   The only way to enroll is through examinations, and grandfather does not want to influence Shin’s admission without exams.

This is where the most interesting part of the story begins for Shin. It turns out that he has lived all of his 15 years with very influential people. His grandfather is the sage Master Marilyn, his grandmother is the guru Merinda, and his uncle is the king of the kingdom of Erashaid. And when he came to the Academy, he found out that they were considered heroes and legends of the city. They even wrote a play about them. So begins Shin’s uneasy path of improvement and growing up, the way of friendship and love, and of course the road of fighting monsters and demons, which you’ll learn about after reading Kenja no Mago manga.
