Blinded by the Setting Sun Manga is about the extraordinary adventures of a sun witch and an apothecary. The Northern Alliance is a group of small villages in the North, closely united with each other. After a long war, the North has been occupied by the kingdom of Mormerat. And King Mormodes was given the title of the conqueror.
But his victory was made possible because of the help of the sun witch Aelius Hildegard, blessed by the sun god Caria. She was a knight and people believed in her invulnerability and immortality. After the war was over, she was forced to hide her face from all but those closest to her. The king rewarded her with an estate and she lives in seclusion. No one, not even her servants, knows her face.
Elkin, an apothecary, works in an apothecary shop in the capital. He comes from the North; his parents were also apothecaries, but they were killed in the war.
